DESIGN WALL MONDAY

I did my favourite feather quilting in the final border of my version of Pick a Pinwheel.  I used a variegated polyester thread from Superior Threads, which had yellows, golds and rusty orange colours - just made to complement this quilt!

This is another version of Pick a Pinwheel, made by a member of my Wednesday quilting group.  She just started quilting last year!
This is a runner made with three of the blocks from Pick a Pinwheel, and was made as a first quilt project by a new quilter in my group!

Now I have to get to work on the next item on my list!

  1. Lovely, Susan! You know how I love feathers, and they look wonderful on your quilt. I'm amazed at how well your newbie quilters did with the pattern, too. :) Great job!

  5. Your feathers are great, I have not seen them done that way before. And your sewing group is doing a great job of learning to quilt.
