I've kept busy this week finishing projects and doing some machine quilting during the day, and stitching blocks for "A Long Time Ago in Bethlehem" during the evenings. I love the look of the metallic thread, but it is a bit of a struggle from time to time. The silver looks wonderful in person, but doesn't photograph well.
I love the humor in each block - the designer did a wonderful job!
This block is titled "Which Way?"
The "Mice Burglars" are having fun with the gold, frankincense in the chest and mhyrr in the silver bottle.....
Check out Judy's blog, Patchwork Times, to see what other quilters are playing with this week.
Susan, I love these blocks!! Where did you find this pattern? It's really precious and I bet it's fun to work on, too! Except the metallic threads ... I love the way they look in a finished project, but they're so cantankerous to work with! :)
ReplyDeleteCute blocks!! I like the humor, too. Must give up and get busy on my handwork....Hocuspocusville.
