Here is the second set of 6 blocks for my latest kaleidoscope quilt.
I have all the triangles cut to make the edged squares that fit between each block, and I also have the triangles and strips cut to make the first border. I will be able to sew some when I can sneak a bit of free time over the next 10 days with company.
Although the pattern called for the seams to be pressed open, I decided to press them all in the same direction, so they would spiral around the block. I was able to open the centre to reduce the bulk.

WOW! Incredible! I love these. I would like to see the original fabrics and before they lay out in the kaleidoscope. I have such a hard time imagining how fabrics will look in such a block.

ReplyDeleteThis is one block I have never made. Yours are gorgeous. Like the first commenter....it is always hard for me to picture (even using mirrors) how the fabric will look in these blocks.
