I was quietly quilting along, minding my own business when as suggestion was made to check out a blog. I loved the free pattern offered there, and had to stop everything and start making some blocks!
Jamie's blog offers a free pattern called Kristy's Dream to download. I discovered that it is made with 2 inch strips, so I had to immediately check out my bin. Next thing I knew I was making new blocks! In today's post she has a picture of a scrappy batik version, with links to two others. Thanks Jamie.
Check out what everyone else is making at Judy's blog.
That's how it always starts, quietly minding my own business...Isn't Blogland the greatest! I love your colors, can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern too and I need to try it for myself. Nice job and your fabrics are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteyep it's sorta dangerous to just 'mind your own business' :)
ReplyDeleteyour quilt is great, love seeing a different colorway than Jamie's!
I'm trying very hard to "mind my own business" but this pattern is making it difficult for sure.
Love it, and at first I thought the window pane check was the background. LOL.

Lovely! I can't decide if I love when inspiration strikes or hate it because it derails what I already have going. :-)
ReplyDeleteI had to stop and save her pattern, too. I am just now looking for a new project so I may be working right along with you.
ReplyDeleteAh, Houston! We are heading there too. Buy you a cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate it when that happens and you are forced to start a new quilting project?!?!? LOL
